Here are a few photos from Wednesday's Game 3 of the Turner Cup championship series in Flint, Mich. After the Flint Generals went up 2-0 in the first period, Fort Wayne Komets forward Matt Syroczynski responded with two straight goals to tie it up. Flint scored again to take the lead, and the shoot out was on. Syroczynski scored again for the hat trick in the first period. From then on it was back and forth with both teams trading goals until Justin Chwedoruk scored what many thought would be the game winner for the Komets in the third period.

Down by a goal, Flint put on a huge rush in the last minute of the third period and managed to keep the puck in the Komets' zone on successive clear-out attempts with 15 seconds left. Flint center Bryan Smolinski picked up the puck near the left point, made a move to the inside and buried it past Nick Boucher with 9.8 seconds to go. Overtime.

The Generals killed off a penalty to start the overtime, and the play slowed a bit. Fort Wayne had several quality chances to score in the overtime, but it was Flint's Jamie Schaafsma who picked up a rolling puck behind Boucher, who thought he had covered it up. Schaafsma skated the puck behind Fort Wayne's net, drawing Boucher to the other side to protect against a wrap-around, then Schaafsma made a move back to the near side and slipped it the open net at 12:52 of the first overtime period for the game winner. Flint won its first game of the series, making the best-of-seven finals 2-1 in favor of Fort Wayne with Game 4 scheduled for Friday in Flint.
